Minister: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

People: This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Minister: Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success!

People: Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We bless you from the house of the Lord.

Minister: The Lord is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords, up to the horns of the altar!

Unison: Eternal God, we praise you for your surpassing greatness, your unspeakable goodness, and your super-abundant grace. We can more easily count the sands on the seashore than number your mercies to us. We know but a part of all you have done for us, but that part exceeds our ability to praise. And so, as we mourn our sin, we fly repenting to your outstretched arms, for we know you will not cast us off. Because we are in your Son, you will draw us near. And you will not condemn us, for Jesus died in our place. In his precious name we come to you. Amen.

Minister: How does Christ execute the office of a priest?

People: Christ executes the office of a priest, in his once offering himself up as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice, and reconcile us to God, and in making continual intercession for us.

Minister: The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
