People:      He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him….But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God….

Gracious Father, with Peter we cry out, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.” We thank you for your Son! Father, you who have the hearts of all men in your hand, form our hearts according to your unchanging Word, according to the image of your eternal, perfect Son. The Prayers of Intercession

Unison:     Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Minister:   Father, we pray for your people throughout the world; for our denomination; for this church; and for all ministers and missionaries. We pray especially for the Mahands in England, the Mays in Peru, the Lees with RUF, and the Mugaris in Zimbabwe.

People:      We pray for the leaders of our nation and all who hold authority, that they would govern according to your truth, and especially that they would resolve to protect the lives of the unborn and defenseless. 

Minister:   We pray for the world, especially that you would bring peace and justice and deliverance to nations and peoples oppressed by war, by disaster, by tyranny, and by evil. We pray for our brothers and sisters in these places as they offer the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ amid great danger and opposition.

• Collecting Games for Care Net

Isabelle McShea's American Heritage Girls troop is collecting new and/or gently used games for Care Net. If you have collected games, please be sure to deliver them to Isabelle today. The games need to be appropriate for children. Puzzles, card games, board games, and outdoor games are welcome. If you bring a used game, please ensure that no pieces are missing or damaged. There will be a memorial service for Jess Krall on Friday, April 26, at 11:00 AM.

 

• Orphaned Dishes

There are several dishes left over from various fellowship meals on the kitchen counter. Some of them may be used as serving dishes for the meal today. If one or more belongs to you, please remember to take it/them home with you. All homeless dishes will be taken to the Women’s Refuge Resale next month. Thank you.
