Minister: What is God?

People: God is a Spirit, in and of himself infinite in being, glory, blessedness, and perfection; all-sufficient, eternal, unchangeable, incomprehensible, everywhere present, almighty, knowing all things, most wise, most holy, most just, most merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth.

Prayers of the People

Minister: O Lord, hear us as we pray:

People: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Minister: Acknowledging, Lord, that your name is majestic in all the earth, we pray that you would, by your grace,

People: enable us to know you, worship you, and glorify you; and with our lips offer you the praise due your name; and with our lives offer you the obedience worthy of your name.

Minister: O Lord, hear us as we pray:

People: Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Minister: Acknowledging that we live in a fallen world, we pray that you would, by your grace,

People: destroy the kingdom of Satan; remove from our society all that dishonors you; and build your beloved Church in obedience to your will.

Minister: O Lord, hear us as we pray:

People: Give us this day our daily bread.

Minister: Acknowledging that all we have is a gift from you, beginning with our salvation, and that you have promised fatherly provision for your true children, we pray that you would, by your grace,

People: grant to us from this earth’s goods what is necessary for life and godliness, with contentment, and hear our prayers for the needs of our family and friends.

Minister: O Lord, hear us as we pray:

People: Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Minister: Acknowledging that we are all by nature guilty sinners, and that we could never repay the debt, we pray that you would, by your grace,

People: pardon all our trespasses and sins, grant us the assurance of your forgiveness and love, and enable us to forgive others from our hearts.

Minister: O Lord, hear us as we pray:

People: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Minister: Acknowledging that the world, our flesh, and the devil are ready to draw us from you, and that in our weakness we are susceptible to every temptation, we pray that you would, by your grace,

People: help us watch and pray that we do not enter into temptation, quicken our hearts that we may seek first your righteousness, and restore to us the joy of our salvation.

People: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.

Minister: Acknowledging that you alone are eternally sovereign, powerful and glorious, we pray that you would, by your grace,
